[What's okay to mention around him/her] She doesn't know her blood status, so I'd prefer that stays off the table until she finds out herself. For now, she's telling everyone she's Muggleborn.

[Can I hack that strike or otherwise find out information they'd prefer to keep hidden?] Strikes are hackable unless noted. As for info, she's not trying to hide the fact that she's adopted, so if anyone brings it up she'll admit to it.
[What would be a suitable way of disciplining them?] Oh, definitely missing Quidditch. Also, anything that gives her more homework or has her doing very boring tasks like cleaning cauldrons.
